Reindeer Race - Ida J. Mason

'Tis the off-season at the North Pole and Santa's reindeer (Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen) are in need of exercise to keep them in shape. The eight elves in charge of taking care of them run a weekly race to stave off the flag and the boredom. Can you figure out which elf jockeys each reindeer, and the order they placed in the most recent race?

1. Donner (who didn't place third) finished the race sometime before Blitzen.
2. Clanzi's reindeer crossed the finish line sometime after Prancer, but sometime before Frisk's mount.
3. Dasher didn't finish first, and Cupid wasn't last.
4. Habby's reindeer (which wasn't Blitzen) crossed the finish line directly behind Abzit riding Dasher.
5. Bixel finished sixth.
6. Dinch (whose reindeer was slower than Vixen) finished two places behind Gasper.
7. Frisk on his reindeer came in just behind Comet, and just ahead of Esprin on Dancer.
